Description

This module aims to provide students with a range of skills that are required when analysing medical images covering topics such as: basics of computational geometry: principal curvatures, mean curvature flows; image enhancement: total variation, (an)isotropic diffusion; segmentation using variational techniques: active contours, level sets, probabilistic models such as Markov random fields, intensity clustering; image registration: deformable and rigid transformations and similarity measures.
